Organization: GAS Power Stat and Tax Team is a component of the GE Vernova Power segment. The team is in charge of providing statutory reporting and tax services to the legal entities operated by the GE Vernova affiliates across the Asia countries in contact with the local/regional business controllership teams and various external providers. Services are governed by the GE Enterprise Standards. Services scope include preparing annual national and local statutory and various tax reporting, preparing related statutory and tax accounting work, and managing statutory and tax account reconciliation and financial audit entire process.
Responsibilities Skills & Experience
? Ensure that all statutory and tax regulatory filings are completed promptly, efficiently, and in accordance with the country's regulatory requirements. This encompasses branches, legal entities, and statutory consolidations outside the US, as well as managing the statutory audit process when applicable.
? Participate in the STAT and Tax Wing to Wing process to enhance productivity and eliminate wasted time.
? Prepare documentation for G2S adjustments and support financial statements for APAC region entities, ensuring alignment with local statutory requirements.
? Prepare documentation for S2T adjustments and tax reporting for APAC region entities, ensuring alignment with local tax requirements.
? Provide ongoing compliance services, which include assisting in the preparation of statutory accounts, executing the statutory audit process, preparing consolidations, and resolving accounting issues.
? Prepare corporate income tax provisions for various businesses/divisions, compile annual RTA, and prepare ETR analyses, validate tax balance sheet accounts, and support review leaders regarding valuation allowances and FIN48 reserve analyses.
? Prepare tax account reconciliations and ensure that the tax balances are well supported with work papers
? Prepare, track and instruct tax payments and support on cash tax forecast pacing analysis
? Support the country tax queries and tax assessment
? Gather relevant financial information to support TP report preparing with 3rd party, assist information required from Business tax managers
? Support the simplification and standardization of statutory and tax operations across processes and assigned countries, and participate in projects related to direct tax as needed (e.g., audit preparation, process improvement, acquisitions/disposals, new SAP deployment).
Essential:
? Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or an equivalent international qualification.
? At least 1 to 2 years work experience or in similar capacity in finance and statutory work
Written and verbal fluency in English and Chinese
? Good working knowledge in a multinational environment
? Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) and the Legacy GE Suite (PowerBI, OTP, S-HFM, FCC , etc.).
? Flexible approach with a strong team spirit and able to work in a fast-paced environment
