Post Specification
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Be responsible for the academic coordination of the School’s doctoral programmes, including but not limited to handling curriculum and course-related matters, coordinating and supporting teaching and learning activities, addressing routine student consultations and applications, maintaining appropriate academic records, etc.;
2. Facilitate the T&L quality assurance processes and practices, such as assisting with teaching evaluations, liaising with internal and external reviewers and examiners, drafting programme quality reports, coordinating and preparing for internal and external reviews, etc.;
3. Provide clerical and administrative services to the School’s doctoral programmes, such as drafting and archiving programme documents, liaising or coordinating with other units within and outside the School, scheduling meetings and taking meeting minutes, etc.;
4. Assist in student affairs of the doctoral programmes and provide student support, such as counselling students regarding procedures and policies, assisting with the planning of student activities and providing logistical support, etc.;
5. Undertake other assignments from the Director of Doctoral Studies and the team leader.
Qualifications and Requirements:
1. A Bachelor’s degree or above;
2. At least two years post-qualification experience, preferably with academic affairs administration in tertiary institutions;
3. Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese;
4. Good team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills;
5. Being organized and proactive at work.
6. MS Office proficiency.
