Description
This role requires a well-rounded
technical leader who can manage complex network designs, oversee
implementation, and work with both internal and external stakeholders to
deliver high-quality network solutions. Strong communication and leadership
skills are also essential, as well as an ability to drive innovation in network
automation and emerging technologies.
Key
Responsibilities:
- Network Planning & Design:
- Participate in the technical
assessment and design of IP & Security solutions aligned with the
department's product catalog, strategy, and architecture. - Plan and design E2E
(End-to-End) Seamless MPLS networks, including IP-Core, IP-RAN, and Enterprise Converged
Networks. - Design and roll out FTTH and
IPV6 networks. - Develop low-level designs and
solution documentation for network projects. - Drive data-driven capacity
planning and intelligent network design.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder
Engagement: - Gather customer/business
requirements and assess their technical feasibility. - Work closely with various
stakeholders (business, technology teams, operators) during solution
design and implementation phases. - Act as a technical
representative in projects, communicating with internal teams and
external stakeholders.
- Network Automation &
Advanced Technologies: - Support automation of IP
Network & Systems processes. - Participate in the rollout of
SRv6 and emerging technologies (SDN, AI, ML, Network Automation, and
Carrier-grade Ethernet). - Engage with vendors for
evaluation and optimization of IP solutions. - Conduct Proof of Concepts
(PoCs) for new technologies.
- Performance & Capacity
Management: - Perform regular network audits
to maintain and improve KPIs. - Oversee network performance
and ensure project delivery timelines are met.
- Support & Maintenance:
- Support Data Center network
planning and deployments. - Handle Network acceptance
according to established guidelines and checklists. - Maintain a structured growth
plan for future traffic needs.
- Technical Leadership:
- Lead the technical aspects of
network planning and troubleshooting. - Guide teams and ensure
high-level IP network design and implementation. - Foster strong relationships
with team members and external stakeholders.
Key
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer
Science, Electrical, or Telecommunication Engineering. - Experience:
- 10-12 years of experience in
the telecom industry, with at least 5 years in senior-level IP planning
and network design. - Hands-on experience in IP-Core
network planning, design, and optimization is a plus. - Strong technical expertise in
IP routing protocols (OSPF, ISIS, MP-BGP), switching technologies (STP,
VTP, VPC, VXLAN), and MPLS (MPLS-TE, LDP, VPLS). - Experience in QoS technologies
(IntServ, DiffServ), and a solid understanding of network automation
tools (Python, Ansible).
- Certifications:
- CCIE or HCIE certifications
will be a strong advantage. - SRv6 expertise is a bonus.
- Skills:
- Strong technical analysis and
troubleshooting skills. - Problem-solving, leadership,
and relationship-building abilities. - Negotiation skills and the
ability to manage vendor relationships.
Desirable Skills:
· In-depth understanding of
Transmission infrastructure deployment and the support life cycle.
· Experience with network automation
(Python, Ansible) is an added advantage.
· Technical expertise in emerging
technologies like SRv6, SDN, AI, and ML.
