Position Summary:
1. To understand customer requirements, product design & development, material knowledge…
2. Coordinate & response to new product design, 3D model and 2D drawing creation , product extension to existing product family, product sustaining ;
3. Provide technical analysis to internal and external team as product engineer.
4. New product cost analysis, feasibility study, and concept design.
5. Detailed product design and product development follow with Amphenol product development and qualification procedure.
6. Existing product modification, extension for new part number, new customers.
7. Provide the technical support for customers and internal Manufacturing team.
8. Responsible for ECR, ECN.
9. Responsible for customer’s new sample requirements.
10. Assist QA for quality issue solving and customer’s application troubleshooting.
11. Follow the Amphenol EHS (Environmental, Health and Safety) Policy and system.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree of Mechanical engineering or related background.
2. Above 6 years work experience on connector design and manufacturing experience. The experience with cable-side connector design is a Plus. The experience with big-current Power connector design or new Energy application connector design is a Plus;
3. Good oral English capability is a Plus.
4. Need to be familiar with Creo or Pro-E 3D model creation and 2D drawing creation;
5. Capable to do tolerance analysis , DFMA and create Product Spec ;
6. Have the knowledge about molding / stamping and assembly process.
