Overview of the Role A Plastic Tooling Engineer plays a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining tools, dies, molds, and fixtures used in manufacturing processes. After the mold qualification process, the molds will be transferred to group European sites for mass production. Key Responsibilities ?Projects follow up (all injection molding molds and parts issues) ?DFM capability with designer and supplier ?Proper molding tooling specification definition to balance quality and cost ?Tooling design & review ?Molding process qualification ?Supplier management for tooling development and part injection within planned cost and time ?Mold inspection in suppliers ?Attend trials done in suppliers, ?Searching new mold shops for cost/quality improvements, ?Support group European sites for communication with suppliers
